Their music was so different from anything else I had heard. It was fun, energetic music with words that appealed to my young heart. They had a charm about them that everyone found so appealing. Sure their hair was a bit long for that time, but they were cute, funny and talented. They came from Liverpool, England, had accents and seemed to be totally enjoying themselves, mugging for the camera and goofing around. Their songwriting skills were remarkable, putting together songs about love, work, peace and people from all walks of life. Watching them shake their mops of hair and say ooooh or yeah, yeah, yeah made me feel happy and free spirited. Like most Beatlemaniacs, I couldn’t get enough.
