Heroes Don't Ask Why is a Finnish rock metal band formed in 2015. In the spring 2016 line-up was finished in its current form with a drummer Kimmo Puhakka taking his place behind the drum kit. The music that followed was melodic divorce metal with a rock attitude. All things advanced rapidly and first self-titled six song album was released in December 2016. Twin-guitar attack by cousins Jussi Pajunpää and Matias Kaunisvesi is both aggressive and in the next moment, mellow melancholic bluesy flow of notes. There's a clear hint of a Scandinavian metal roots but with added quest for a tender guitar work. Friends, musicians and everyone who's familiar with Linkin Park music, especially with the magic of Chester's voice. We came up with an idea to pay our tribute to a person, who influenced a lot of people, including us. We grew up with his music and we really thank him for that. Not sure if it was before, it doesn't matter, but we decided to record and donate a song written that day to the One More Light Fund, a project by the Linkin Park members, in memory of Chester Bennington. You can say that it's nothing, because we're the nobodies. But it's the least we can do, so why not to try? We recorded all the instruments in a studio but we don't have enough production, mixing and mastering skills to do it ourselves. Of course, we can try to do it the way we can at the amateur level, but I think Chester deserves more than that. Manchester, UK based Duncan Reed is an alternative singer songwriter, dabbler in acoustic rock and an all-round master of melodic, effervescent resonance. His latest track Hard as Stone is one of the most melodic pieces of music that I've had the transcendental pleasure of listening to since I first discovered Glen Hansard. Hard as Stone demands the illustration of his raw fingers floating over the strings of the guitar as the track spirals through the soul wrenching melody fuelled through deeply illustrative and abstract lyrics.
